COVID-19 Announcements

Being able to hear and communicate are important for well-being. If you are interested in learning more about Earlens or have a problem with your hearing or your Earlens System, our medical and hearing professionals are available and dedicated to help you hear and stay safe.

There is no higher priority for the Perkins Clinic at Earlens than the health and well-being of our patients and employees. We are closely following guidance on COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019) from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the California State and San Mateo County Recommendations to stay on top of all developments. See below for new protocols and additional options we are offering.

Increasing Sanitary Procedures

We are going above and beyond our already rigorous infection control policy to ensure our office is thoroughly disinfected multiple times a day.
Protective Equipment: All visitors and staff must wear masks.

Patient Areas With Social Distancing

We have increased our individual examination rooms, changed our patient flow through the office, currently limiting the foot traffic in between appointments.

Limiting Visitors

Companions may accompany a patient during their visit only if the patient needs full assistance and are not mobile. Companions are welcome to wait in their cars or in our downstairs lobby.

Telehealth Visit

We are now offering contact-less telehealth visits – which are a video-based health care visit can be scheduled to provide you with care and information without you leaving your home.

Free Delivery

If you need supplies like chargers, new ear tips, processors or mineral oil, we can ship them to you free of charge.

Curbside Service

We are now offering a contact-less “curbside service” appointment. If a hearing professional determines that troubleshooting can be performed without a face-to-face visit, you can drop off your devices at a designated spot. Our hearing professionals will let you know when your devices are ready for pick up.
